🎤 VFW 5477 Guilty Pleasures Recap – You Tried Not to Sing...
Did you miss us at VFW 5477 for Guilty Pleasures? Don’t stress—we’ve got the full scoop right here. Dev and Bunny (yep, that's us!) are back with a little recap of a night that proved one thing: you all cannot resist a good bop.
So, what is Guilty Pleasures anyway?
It’s the playlist full of songs you act like you don’t love but secretly scream in the car. From bubblegum pop to iconic boy band ballads, it’s music that makes you move—even if you’re trying not to. And listen… if it were a real “Try Not to Sing” challenge, y’all were out by song three. We saw whole tables harmonizing like they were on tour. Even the pool sharks in the back? Singing. 🎱
Wait... was it a real challenge?
We had a few people thinking it was an actual competition—not our intention, but hilarious nonetheless. We cleared that up pretty quick. That said… now we’re thinking, should we make it real next time? Honor system and all? 🤔 (Kidding... kind of.)
This night felt like one big group karaoke.
And that’s the magic of music bingo. It sparks convos, connections, and chaos—in the best way. Folks were swapping stories, belting out hooks, and sharing those “Ohhh I haven’t heard this in forever!” moments. Guilty Pleasures forces everyone in the room to participate, whether they meant to or not.
Dev even confessed to a bit of playlist manipulation to keep the vibes just right. He’s not proud… but also, totally worth it. His current guilty pleasure? “If I Had You.” Don’t judge. Bunny’s? A rock version of “My Heart Will Go On.” Yep. We’re right there with you.
Oh—and new layout? Major win.
We tried out a new setup in the space, and the feedback was 🔥. Better sightlines, better sound, and more room to move. You could see the game, the bar, the pool tables—everything. And the vibe was noticeably better with that layout. Big yes.
Someone asked if we do house parties...
Short answer: YES.
Long answer: We had a great convo with someone interested in booking us for a private event, and the wheels are turning. If you’ve ever thought, “This would be so fun at my birthday/backyard BBQ/family reunion,” hit us up. We’ve got you.
From first-timers to familiar faces
We’ve been blown away by how many of you keep showing up. Folks from our first-ever VFW game are now regulars. We’ve built something special here—and it shows. It’s not like trivia nights where people are all stiff and secretive. There’s laughter, cheering, table-hopping, and a whole lotta love. This is the Bingo Remixed family. 💛
Honorable mention: “Number 9 guy”
Shoutout to the guy who yelled out his sheet number right after his girl won. It was 19, he had 9, and he was heated (in the funniest way possible). Just a reminder—we don’t assign numbers with any agenda. They’re shuffled and picked at the start. But the drama? Hilarious. We might have to write a whole post about it.
Also, yes—Dev did once pick Miss Patty’s game sheet and she won. Yes—it looked sus. But trust, the family vibe makes it feel right. That’s what we’ve built.
It’s not about the prize. It’s about the playlist.
Sure, you can win cash or a gift card—but that’s not why we’re here. Bingo Remixed is about music, connection, and just having a good time. The odds aren’t wild like traditional bingo. You’ve got a real shot—but the real win is singing your heart out with people you like.
What’s next?
We’re back at VFW every 4th Wednesday of the month, and we’d love to see you there. Same vibe. New themes. Even more chances to belt out your secret favorite song.
Until then, keep singing in the car, and remember:
It’s not your grandma’s bingo… it’s better.
